Ol Roy called and checked in on Graydon, so I thought I should post a report. He has had a rough patch since his last post. I know some of you are concerned that he might be experiencing some difficulties with the home. That is not the case. It makes him proud to know that he made a positive difference there.
His stomach has not been a happy camper since his gall bladder surgery. The doc"s are actually taking him off of a lot of his medications in an attempt to get his gut to working the way it should. It does not help that he is on a pain patch for his shoulders. The narcotics really cause problems with the digestive system. He is also starting to experience some sundowners which really concerns him. Again, the pain patch is working against him. He also feels that his fingers don"t not always cooperate so he isn"t posting, emailing or text as much. If things don"t get turned around pretty soon, we will run him in to the hospital.
We (his family) are in and out of the nursing home two or three times a week. We keep a pretty close eye on him and mom (she is doing well). The drought and high feed costs are forcing me to make some tough decisions on the farm. While he agrees with the changes, it is still pretty darn depressing. We are the driest we have ever been since 1921. Our rainfall since May 1 is 35% of normal. I would replace my windshield wipers, but I am worried they will dry rot before I need them again.
All of you who are his friends on the forum really keep him going. I will try to do a better job of keeping everyone posted.

I have been a collector of Farmall tractors since 1990 when I first obtained part of the family farm in Eastern Indiana. My current collection includes a 1938 F20, 1945 H, 1946 H, and the recently purchased 1951 H. This article will focus on what I encountered and what I did to bring the 1951 NEAR DEATH Farmall H back to life.
