JD, Guys, I am seeing a trend to Gas burners here in Texas. In a certain segment of the Ag Industry. I agree the larger Dsl pickups will be the back bone of trucks to haul, and pull heavy loads. BUT!!, In N. Central Texas the trend is going back to Gas burners as their every day work truck. The 3/4 or 1Ton, 4x4, Regular Cab, gassers! They are pulling the Pu boxes, putting a flatbed and a Cake Box on and using this set up as their daily driver, checking cattle, Gad-about rig! OBTW their old daily driver Big Dsl, 4x4, Crew Cab pick, got sent to the shop to get worked on, then sent to the paint shop and beautified back up. Then parked in the garage, for when they really needed it for heavy hauling, pulling an such. That Regular Cab gasser is easier to get around in the pastures, lighter, total wt even with a half box of cake than a Crew cab Dsl set up the same way. Best of all a brand new Regular Cab gasser ($35K) is about 1/2 that ($55 to $60 K) of a Big Dsl, 4x4, Crew Cab. Which has been the main stay here in Texas for 20 yrs now. Also with all the new emissions crap, and extra maintenance cost the gassers have come back pretty strong. The new emissions and extra cost will get the Suburban, soccer Moms out of the larger big Pus! Just my observation here in N. Central Texas. Later, John A.

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
