I use it diluted with diesel fuel in my wood stove to start fires. Used alone, it doesn't burn well initially, as the flash point on vegetable oil is much higher than motor oil. It can be hard to get started burning when used by itself, In fact, when used alone, it tends to run down to the bottom of the stove and you'll not get a complete burn of it as it mixes with the ashes. I use a lot of my straight vegetable oil (canola oil) for dust control in my chicken house. Works wonderfully.
