:You-all must live in states that don't have a deposit on soda/beer cans and bottles, out here in California empties are worth money, we still get paper trash but empty deposit containers are hard to find because somebody is always cruising the backroads/city parks etc. looking for empties, at about a $1.00 per pound(approx 12 empties) it adds up in ahurry. So quit your complaining and get your state/community to require deposits on all beverage containers and your trash problems will decrease drastically! in fact you'll be fighting to get those discarded containers for the "unreported income tax "
they represent before other people find them! All you need to collect cans is a bag and a stick with a nail in the end, the sharp stick is used to pick up cans without bending over and to poke bothersome dogs, smarta-- teen agers and to get the old lady moving when its time for her to cook your dinner!(just kidding dear).
