I would maybe think about Kentucky. Moderate climate, a right-wing state too, for the most part. A gun confiscation would be super stupid, and your governor knows it. How would it be enforced? It would first be a gun register program, sure just sign me right up on that list. I remember Diane Feinstein making a comment many years ago that she wanted to get a bill put in place for ALL the guns in America to be turned in. Umm...Yep I will just turn in my stuff for free cause I am stupid. WTF? Just be careful how far west you go, you might hit the left coast.
