Paul I don't believe thats true. And I'n not against the idea of teachers being armed.
Many teachers don't want guns and are afraid of them. They will leave them at home or lock them in a desk draw. Plus any "bad guy" is going to know the first person you see that's an adult you shoot first. Then with high schools all an large male or female student has to do is punch out the teacher to have access to a fire arm. Just too many problems I think.
When I was in high school in NJ before moving to MN we had local cop moon lighting as a bus driver. Happened to be my bus. On day when we got pretty rowdy on the bus and one guy lit his books on fire he pulled a gun. He lost both his jobs. Don't need a teacher in a class room snapping and pulling one.
