Jimmy, Between the arrival of our first grandchild this fall - and starting a new job in October...I just have not gotten the Markle book read yet.
Our F20 serial number is FA36525...which the YT serial number chart indicates as a 1936. *The problem is I do not know the MONTH of its production...so we are not sure which bolster should go on there.
Our bolster casting code is .1.13.F. (which should be a 36). But our tractor has a castle top on the steering gears and I think you and possibly JaNicholson said it should be smooth.
The bolster we bought with the smooth topped cover over steering gears has a casting code of .3.13.E. (which should be a 35) ... and both you and Jan Nicholson said they used the 1935 front ends on early 1936 tractors.
Problem is, we are still unsure which way to go... 1. only put on the smooth top 2. replace the entire bolster and smooth top
