I"ve tried my very patient best to deal with the owner. No dice. He"s the very unsocial, grouchy heir of a whole bunch of land and in his opinion a wHole bunch of unrewarding work. I tried being his buddy, offering money, (much more $$$ than it is worth) I used the restore angle, giving him a diary and pictures--nothing works. I started out easy but the more he realized somebody actually wanted it, the more he didn't want anyone to have it. One of those guys whose grandfather and father worked their butts off to make it and then gave it to a ungrateful kid. All we"re gonna get is the picture...slim

I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
