Yes Old, I am fully aware of religious syncretisms - how a newer religion over layed it's meaning onto an older religion's holiday. Easter over the Jewish Passover, the Passover over the Egyptian cult of Isis' re birth, new growth in the spring. Christmas over the Druid rite of the waxing of the sun at the solstace. Even our silly Halloween comes from Hallowed Eve, from the Mass of All Souls (spirits) the next day. I'm pretty good on my haigiography too if you want to try me out some day. wink
