I am having better luck with windows 8 since I discovered how to do everything starting from desktop mode. Also, mine hasn't crashed yet, luck I guess. To get to desktop mode, go to the start screen, and click on the little square that says desktop, and then it works somewhat like windows 7. Still ridiculously complicated, but better. I am going to keep going until I figure it out to. Like a good mechanic neighbour of mine says, "A man built it, a man can fix it". To answer the question someone put up about why don't you use windows xp (which I like) you have to buy it from microsoft, wipe everything off your computer and start over. I asked the store where I bought mine and they wanted $250 to put Windows 7 on my brand new computer. It only cost me $$550 with windows 8 to start with. Also, when a windows version gets to a certain age they quit looking after it and you are wide open to viruses, etc.
