To be fair and let the people who bring these guns in to be "disposed" of. The officers should have an anvil and sledge hammer there and give each gun a few good whacks. I often thought of setting up next to one of these gun collection places and offer to fix the gun so it could never be used. I bet you'd get run off in a hurry by the police. I too think if a nice piece comes in it never makes it to the place to be destroyed. The intent of the program is to get the guns out of circulation and not into some officers gun case. If people don't want a gun then they should take it to a gun store or auction and sell it. Just my opinion, Dick
