Well Billy, there may be some cases where not wearing a seat belt in a serious accident "might" be for the better, but I dare say not in most cases! My son wrecked his '72 Gran Torino Sport when he was 18 at an estimated speed in excess of 125 MPH. Over a guard rail, down a 50 ft embankment and upside down on a frozen (thank God) pond. He broke off the Hurst shifter with his hip which caused him to limp some but other than that, nothing but minor cuts and scratches. He was drinking but, because of the influence of his driver ed teacher, he still had presence of mind enough to fasten his seat belt. The good thing (he's 50 now) he never ever drank and drove since then! Just so you know I'm not BSin, check out these pics. Only one wheel was not bent!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
