'36 Chev pickup that was parked "For Sale" at a place along my bus route when I was 16. Talked the guy down from $150 to $125. It was a runner, but the old 206 (they changed to 216 in '37) would float the valves at 38 MPH- so one summer I worked half time for my dad, and the afternoons putting a 283 Chev with Powerglide into it. What a great summer- listening to rock and roll and working on my hot rod. Burned up the transmission in short order, because I didn't hook up the kick-down rod from carb to transmission, I'm told. Sold it to my cousin in a weak moment in '73, he never did anything with it, don't think there's much left of it now.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
