I can't help you with a 2013 truck, but I have a 2000 f250 diesel, the hubs that come with it for the dial 4x4 are crap, I had nothing but trouble with them, one went in the garbage, the other one ingave to my brother. I went and bought warn manual lock hubs, free or lock, never had a problem again. all my other trucks have the stick for 4x4, either manual lock or one chevy with auto lock, they work great too. I hate those vacume ones. My ford engine and tranny have been fine towing a trailer, good luck!
