We had a 48 just like it.After about 1950 they had the new style door locks,brakes and the 235 engine Much better trucks.They came in green,black and blue.After the war trucks were hard to get.My father paid $1800 for the delux model,chrome bumper,five windows,,and ceiling liner.A fancy truck for its time.He said the old 36 ford had only about two more trips to the market in Houston left in it.We hauled a lot of vegetables,corn,fertilizer,cattle trailer and more.But the 216 engine,bad brakes and doors that wouldnt stay closed ,we sold it in 1981 for $1500.
