I got one in February and the other one done in November. Have worn glaasses all the time since we got married 36 years ago. Strange to be able to drive without glasses. I had to get a reglar pair of sunglasses. Between the surgeries, I used my prescription sunglasses. I just closed the new eye for a couple seconds and the other (dominant eye took over) and I got along fine. My eye doctor was amazed that I could do that. Now it is possible to get one eye fixed for close and the other for distance. I didn't know that until after the first operation. I would have liked to have that done, but I would have wanted to have the dominant eye for distance and then it was too late. You can get bifocal contacts that will do that for you, having different prescriptions for each eye.
