Mom was trying to punish me (and rightfully so...) and I resisted. She said "Fine. Your dad is on his way home..." The wait for that was bad enough, but he had a means of making us think about it. We had to go out in the front yard and "pick a stick" Basically, pick the stick you want whipped with (yes, this is a whipping, not a beating in the sense of today"s world). Usually, the search for the stick was the worst as he would not put it all into us. However, this day he proved his point. May have been the last whipping I received too!

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
