While I can say I got a lot of spankings as a kid I can't say my folks beat me. UD is right.
A friend and I were messing around at his place while his dad was enclosing a porch. I don't remember what he did but his dad went after him with a chunk of 2X4. Broke his arm. Sad thing was back in the early 60's his dad got away with it.
Another family live down the block from us. 2 daughters and a son. The oldest girl and my sister were best friends and in 70 the younger one I and started hanging out. My first real girl friend (we were both 15). I was at her house and she back talked her mom. Well her mother got a belt and told her to drop her shorts. Started to leave and her mom told me to stay. She spanked her bare back side right in front of me. I really felt sorry for her and she was very embarrassed. She told me later that if any of them got in trouble that her parents made them bare themselves and spanked them right them regardless of who was there. Couple of weeks later her older sister got the same treatment while I was there. I have always felt that her parents were very sick people.
