Our Allis 45 grader has the supercharged 516 engine and American Bosch rotary pump. From the service manual (in short form)
Renoving pump -
No 1 near TDC, engine shutoff off.
Turn crank slowly till FPI line in window on bellhousing (top LHS on ours) lines up with pointer. Pump timing pointer (under a cover on top of the timing chest over the pump drive gear) should be lined up with centre timing mark.
Disconnect lines etc. Remove the 3 mounting bolts and remove pump. Keep it lined up just like that or you'll need to do some internal timing too on the head gears in the pump.
When reinstalling on ours this pump drive has an adjusting shaft through the pump drive gear (which is held on with 3 bolts that allow turning to match the timing marks) This is through the supercharger belt drive pulley assembly on the front so we haven't got a cover there. You can probably move the gear instead as you put the pump in - ours now has bolts not studs and you can slide the pump in, engage the gear and then turn the body to line the timing marke and bolt it up.
