Someone once said, and it could have been before I got on this forum in '01, that you can't have a meaningful relationship with more than five tractors. I have seven, but two are modern so they don't count. Then I have one antique that is a worker so I spend many hours with her each summer. Another one had her restoration nearly finished last year and she and I have been to three shows together. Then two are pullers, so I spend a lot of time with each of them during the season. I also have a pretty intimate period with each of them every other year or so to do some upgrading. The seventh has had her motor rebuilt, and she runs and drives but is still waiting for me to get back to her. I know that the getting is more fun than the having, but I get a lot out of getting something here and there for each of them, to make them each a little more healthy or prettier.
