It takes practice but I used to be able (and I still can to a point) measure my sons temperature with my right cheek, on his forehead. He is 12 now, but when he was a baby, toddler and small child I could get it down to .2 degrees of the real temperature. It had to be room temp in the house and I had to not have just come in from the cold or the heat. I am not spoofing anyone on this, my wife has me check her temp if she thinks she has a fever. With my cheek, no other body parts.....Darn.
