I've spent a few days on the ice but I moved south now. I have a lake lot with my three sisters on Lake Calhoun near Spicer just outside of Willmar. Have relatives who still live on the lake. My last ice fishing trip was with my Uncle the last three days of safe ice in the spring of 1998. He died that June of lung cancer. We had holes drilled all over the place and just moved around with the fish. It was super warm and the ice melted 10 inches in those three days. Had to lay boards out on the edge the last day to get out there. Melting water was running down into our holes. Ate fish until we burst and took plenty home for the freezer also.
We fished for panfish with light line but every now and then you'd hook into a pike. Uncle Leonard would come running and stomp on the ice, scaring the pike and pealing line off. And laughing his butt off. Great memories!

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
