Bill With over 40 years experience on the road, these are my opinions. A conventional, or nose, truck does indeed ride better. For the sleeper models, especially the tall ones, driver can stand up between the seats & step back to his bunk. Even stand up to change clothes & tuck shirt tail in his britches. Also tall sleepers can be set up with a bunk above the first one for team operations. For a COE or tilt cab model to get to the bunk requires placing one hand on the doghouse (engine cover), other hand on seat & scoot backwards to the bunk, barely enough room to sit upright. Change clothes lying flat on your back. No room for a small closet to hang clothes etc. Here in the wide open spaces length of trailer is regulated, but tractor length is pretty much whatever you want. Spent my last 9 years in a nosed Volvo like the second one pictured. Willie
