: Ibought a rebuild kit for my naa sleeves pistons and all this may sound dumb but here goes . I see the sleeves are alreaddy honed so I asked a back yard tractor machanic if they were readdt to go or if more had to be don before i put it together he advised a lite hone is all it needs .is this necesary? Yes. You should hone the sleeves AFTER you've installed them. You can get a 'whirly gig' hone at most auto parts stores that attach to a standard drill motor. One note of caution; don't get too close to the crank and hit it...it will break the hone(s).
