Wife and I were just in Wal-Mart a few days ago and the guy was in the process of stocking the shelves with what they had to come in at the time. The probem, I think, is their suppliers are giving them X amount and it's having to be spread over so many stores that it looks like they aren't getting any. Then throw in situations like we found where we asked if he had any .380 and we were told a case came in and a guy bought the whole thing off the cart, before the guy could even get it loade in the cabinet.
In other words they are still ordering and stocking ammo, there,s just not enough to go around...
That said the best places I've seen and heard about to get the .22LR are small, out of the way places. Seems they don't necessarily have as much stock as they normally would, but aren't bone dry either.
