Don't know if you'd be interested in this or not: you can buy a 'dvd slideshow maker' program for a few bucks (I think I paid $30 about 10 years ago); scan your photos (if they're not already digitized) add music of your choice (I try to 'match' the era of the photos) and burn to dvds....which can be shown on TV. Pretty much any music you want can be found on youtube, etc. After buying the program, the only cost is for the blank dvds. I've done several dozen 'themed' dvds (pictures of our church activities each year, vacation pictures, old family pictures, etc.) In your case, copies could be made for everyone who attends. For our 50th HS reunion last year, everyone contributed what pictures they had and I made copies (80-plus) for everyone who came to the reunion. This is a link to the first draft of our reunion dvd just so you can see what I'm talking about. I eventually came up with another 50 or so pictures for the 'final' dvd.........
