I"ve had a couple chainsaws , & my gas trimmer quit running very similar to your engine . I took them to a friend who has worked in small engine repair shops , plus has had his own sales shops for all his life . Each of my machines needed the carbs removed & cleaned , new gas lines & filters replaced . This damage was due to that stinking gas we are forced to pay for . I wasn"t aware of having to dump that special additive (Restore) into all my cans of gas/oil mixture to help prevent damages . Also any cans with straight gas used for farm & lawn tractors plus my log splitter , should have another name brand additive (Lucas)into them to save any prospects of damages . Since I"ve started using these additives , I"ve had no issues (as of yet) . Thank God .I had someone advise using the more expensive grade of gasoline in the future since it has less alcohol added to it . So maybe I will do that when my cans need refilled again . HTH ! God bless ye all , Ken
