I for one like to watch my kids sports and some football games on tv. I enjoy watching a player do something that takes skill and persistance to acomplish. Those kids and atheletes put in a lot of time toward what they do and deserve a bit of praise. My kids keep good grades and put in the time to get where they are. I don't care for pro sports much because it seems they just want paid and have big egos but you get the same people in any line of work. I think that sports will teach kids a good life lesson of humility, perserverance and acomplishment. Working on tractors, driving a semi, or doing everyday jobs don't get the praise they should but most folks just do what they do and can look at a finished job and be proud of what they acomplished. I enjoy looking at this site and seeing a guys newly restored tractor and think to myself, wow, he really knew his stuff! My point is that I don't think sports are a bad thing if done properly. Yes some get way out of contol on them but I bet you they have deeper issues.
Good post. Excellent post!!
