Wecome to the world of Dodge overdrive transmissions! Have a 96 have had the tranny re build, 3 solenoid replaced wireing checked ground check. talked to 5 dreffent transmission shops. Last guy I talked to was the best I have found. But The truck is not worth puting more money into a junk transmission that can or can not be fixed. I just trun off the key for 1 sec then back on, That way it will shift into overdrive Only thing I can tell you is there"s very few shops that can find the trouble, dealer or non dealer. I know that I would tell them that ony way I would agree to ANY repair would be a 100% guarantee that it would work when they were done. being that they have aready Tryed one thing that didn"t fix it then I would want to talk to others shops Like I said I talked to 5 shops two worked on it, the last guy told Me more about that transmission than all the others shops put together I think the last guy could fix it, But I"m just running it till it dies. Good luck. PS. this is what I was told about Dodge transmissions ,"Only ones that were not out were the ones that are going out".
