I have 2002 Dodge cummins with 390000 km (241000 miles) on the original transmission. This truck has been used on the farm since new so it has hauled some things in its life. Right now it is my fuel truck so in the winter it sits for a couple of weeks before getting started. I bought a 2006 Dodge to replace this summer. The torque converter seems to slip when cold started so you have to stand on the throttle to get it to move first from rest. After it has driven for a while it goes normally after that. So with only 82000 miles my guess is the sensor that is setting codes is screwed and I would keep on driving until more serious symptoms occur.
