My my, look at the name calling. Now I'm stupid and a moron with no nads. You are the one hiding behind a computer screen calling names. That sure takes a lot of brains and courage. Oh I'm so impressed.
I do thank you for serving though.
All I did was get the land. Everything else I worked for. And I worked pretty darned hard for my folks through the years so I really did earn that too.
If the governement is giving you money and you already make a profit before that governemnt money then it's welfare. You can be ignorant and call it an entitlement or a subsidy but it's still a welfare check. And that money came from us tax payers, not just you.
Tell me, if you are such a great operator, why do you take that handout? Just greed or is it you need them telling you how to farm?
I'm not making any excuses. I don't want it because I see it as welfare plain and simple with just as fancy a name as an "entitlement". I also see it as sitting politicians buying vote with tax payer money.
Look, take a couple of deep breaths, calm down, stop name calling and explain to my poor simple self just how subsidies are justified. Tell me what makes you or anyone else "entitled" to them. Tell me why Joe Blow has to pay for his ethonal gas and food twice, once at the store and again at tax time? Explain how that is fair to the average, live in town/city, Joe Smuck tax payer?
Just so you know before you get all in a rage yet again.
1. I'm not into organic.
2. I'm not against using some chemicals if needed.
3. I'm not sure about GMO's, just too much conflicting info to make an unbiased decision.
4. Yes I am against subsidies.
5. I am not against BTO's. Just the ones who think they are gods and everyone else is supposed to get out og thier way.
