If its the LCT1000/2000 like behind the Duramax/8.1, the torque spec is 20ft/lbs. It should have a reusable bonded rubber gasket. Don"t discard it. Some filter kits come with a felpro style gasket, I"d reuse the bonded gasket.
20ft/lbs is the factory spec, and believable with the rubber gasket. I wouldn"t exceed that tho. BW
PS. that spec is for the LCT, if its a cork gasket, you"ll blow it out at 20..
