At work I have a Dell that is over 8 years old. It has been fantastic. Had to replace the hard drive last year - but that is it. Since then, it is like a new machine.
At home over the the past 11-12 years, I am on my third HP. So I may go with a Dell desk top next time (if they still make them...seems all are going to laptops - but I prefer a desktop for the larger screen).
