The sales tax here in MD is 6% on just about everything including clothes. No tax on grocery items. If you buy any food item for a pet you're charged tax. I bought a Kohler standby generator last summer. We placed the order in AZ and the generator was shipped from TX to GA. Then it was shipped to MD and delivered in a big truck that had the hydraulic lift gate. No sales tax and free shipping. We are close to the state of Delaware where there's no sales tax. The state of MD has road runners out near the state line looking for and stopping cars that may have bought items in DE. The more they get the more they spend. Hal PS: Delaware has the Dupont family and they contribute a lot to the economy. They hire a lot of Chemists. Even make dynamite.
