Yeah, rabbit. I tracked one in the snow one morning. Rabbits think everything chasing them can smell and track them by scent. This rabbit went around in a big circle 2-3 times and would make a short false trip straight out of the circle and back 3-4 times, then finally left in a straight line. I quit tracking him, figured if he had time to make all those circles he was way ahead of me. The interesting question is, if it was a dog or fox chasing the rabbit, could it also follow the tracks by sight?
