In 1951, my dad traded off the F-12 with 1 row mounted picker and got a new M with a 2 row 2-MH picker. This was the big outfit in the neighborhood at Ada, Ohio. Pop did a lot of custom work with this outfit.
One New Years eve he was picking for a neighbor who had quite a bit of corn. Big snowstorm predicted for New Years day. At dark farmer told dad he couldn't unload any more and would have to stop when the wagons were full. Pop told him to see how many wagons he could get from the neighbors so he could keep picking. Worked till 1:00 am and had 13 wagon loads of corn setting in the field next morning covered with over a foot of snow. The farmer was well pleased with that.
