Your story just brought up a old, funny, and scary deal. When I was 19 and on the local fire dept we got a call in the late morning. Engine was already rolling so I jumped in the tanker,as I was pulling out had a another jump in and away we go. We were about 1 mile from the station when a big pheasant flew across the hood and WE HEARD A BOOOOOOOM! The pass window shattered we were being stung all to he!! I got the truck stopped WITH ALL THE LIGHTS AND SIREN BLARING trying to figure out what happened and I saw 2 hunters walk out of the corn field complaining they missed. I then realized what happened and proceeded to call them every thing but free, white, and 21 and that they just shot a 3000gal tanker ! Lucky for us we just got minor cuts from the glass.
