When I was in the service and stationed at Bainbridge NTC for Nuke school, a bunch of us went out and got half plastered one evening- enough so that I made a wrong turn getting back to the barracks. Going around a bend, I spied a skunk in the middle of the road and slammed on the brakes, grinding to a halt just in range of a now upset skunk. He stamped at us and turned around. Just as I figured I had to get into reverse, my foolish co-driver figuured he'd scare the skunk out of the way and reached over and hit the horn. WRONG MOVE!!! Took about two weeks before that car was enjoyable to drive again....

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
