Ford 801 Hydraulic Pump --- Vane vs Piston ?

I have a 1960 Ford 801 that had a backhoe on the back. I took it off and sold it . I had to find all the 3-point part to put back on it , which I have except for the hydraulic pump. Question -- Which will work for me , the vane style or the piston style. The only thing the tractor is going to be used for is to mow a 20 acre field. The vane style is less expensive , but will it work ?
