These are some pictures of where one of my cousins lives for the time being. It is his mom and dad's place and his dad grew up there. It is nestled in between some hills in Fairview Heights, IL. My Uncle had two mules he used up until 1976, he raised mostly vegetables, horse radish, sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans, alfalfa, wheat. Where the cars are parked is where the old horse lot use to be. You can see how the sidewalk to the barn is sliding down the hill into the lot. The two buildings built into the hillside to the left of the barn, the smaller one use to be the sheep shed and the larger one was the horse radish shed. The little dog house looking building next to the big maple tree is actually a well house. Other than the two mules, he also had a small 8N and my cousins still have the MF 35 tractor their dad had. I took these pictures when I turned in his driveway and kept taking them as I drove in. The little bridge hasn't been used in years but was wide enough for his little tractors.
