wash it,,,heres how i clean my stuff ,.. when they come in here with years of grime on them ,,if i have time , i will pressure wash them , and get whatever gives up easily ,, if i dont have time ,i spray them down with waste oil/ fuel mix through a wagner power painter ,, paying extra attention to moving parts and rusty tension springs ,, grease all zerks , change fluids , send them to work in the hot sun with oil all over them ,,dont matter if its a feed grinder , baler , planter ,or tractor ,everything ggets same treatment, in a couple weeks ,stuff will come back caked with dust and oil baked in by hot sun ,, that is when i get serious about pressure washing ,, knockin whatever off ,, hitting it with degreaser , if i know i can get back to cleaning in 24 hrs ,, if not clean ,, another coat of oil , and back to the field ,,it is amazing how everythingg rusty gets SWEET and easy to operate after oiling,,when i paint this stuff ,, i wash off ,sand off ruff stuff ,wipe down with e-85 ,. paying attention to what evaporates and streaks ,, then i paint , and my stuff lasts
