My dad made one out of an old electric forklift. It was a small forklift to begin with so its not the biggest, but works ok. Biggest problems he has are getting the 3 point set at the right level for it to work well (too high you cant pick up a pallet and to low you tear up the barn yard), and it is not as easy as a real forklift to use. He uses it with a JD 3010, when he uses it. Right now he dosen't, as he has a real forklift, but he keeps it for back up. Can't help you with pricing or tractor capacity.
