I like my Cummins Diesel because it's now at 176,000 miles with no repairs,yet, other than routine maint. I get upwards of 18- 20mpg around town, 22-24 on the open road, and 12-14 towing heavy.
It has power and torque for days.
All the above is far better than the Fords and Chevy gassers I've owned and operated over the years.
Now the Dodge truck part is another story. I've had multiple issues with the truck part. Currently the ducting system in the HVAC is out. Seems Dodge contracted with a co that put out a junk system of electronic solenoids operating the plastic dampers. Doors are snapped into the plastic housing with no bushings or lubrication. They wallow out, gall, and or seize up. All that means the dash needs to come out and new system installed, $1000+.
The Chevrolet/GMC's I've owned seem to have the best fit and finish with very few problems with the truck part. Gas engines and trans seemed to need lots of repairs and we would trade at about 80k miles to avoid a lot of that,
The company I worked for bought all new 1 ton vans,pickups and box vans in 1989. Every one of those truck had major transmission, engine, and rear end failures before 80k miles. I bought a new 1990 Ford Taurus. It was the biggest POS i've ever owned. The only Ford I bought and realy enjoyed was a 1989 full size bronco. That truck was a beast.
