I may be foolish, but it works for me. Have sold a few medium priced items, will accept pesonal checks, & haven't been burned yet. I also take a pic for "sentimental" reasons of the item with the new owner, loaded up & ready to roll, being sure to capture the truck plate. Doesn't hurt to steer the small talk about payment to the penalty for bad checks, & the sheriff lives a mile down the road. Mention that I let him handle any collection problems. Willie

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
