I spend a whole day replacing the radiator core on the Regular I'm trying to keep from taking up permanent residence in the shop. I cleaned, re-tapped a few holes, smoothed the gasket surfaces, the works. Looks like a million bucks. Put it on the tractor, filled it with water and found out the CORE LEAKS!!! A tube has a hole in it! Looked at it close and there's a little bead of solder on a fin beside the leak and the tube is black right at the leak. Looks like an electric arc burned a hole in it. So now it comes apart and I wait for a new core. In the mean time, I tried to get the old girl running and all I could get was a couple of half hearted pops. Been down this road many times trying to get an old tractor started for the first time and I've always been successful, but I've never done it while a brand new radiator core was dripping away getting on my nerves. Sigh. Jim
