like others have said wix is the best filter out there, napa and carquest filters are made for them by wix, i know this because i worked for carquest in my younger days for a decade and had to attend a training course for certification on filters and there differences, consequently i wont put fram on anything i own lol or have my oil changed at a independent quick change, after talking to their filter suppler, for the local ones,[ i was trying to swing a deal with them to supply them our filters, which would have made me look super to the boss] but when a quick lube shop is paying 2.98 a filter, from the middle man, you know its not much better quality than no filter, heck our store cost was twice that. i dont know myself who makes filters for john deere, but if i ever find one i want to cut it open and see its components, that will tell all
