I have an older (17 years) Stihl that has always started fine and done a ton of cutting. The last two times out it will start fine, idles fine but would die when I gasses it. The air filter is clean and it has a pretty new plug. It did this yesterday, I cleaned the carb area off with carb cleaner, and blew any built up crud off with air gun. It then ran fine for the rest of the day. Today it started out fine but is doing the same thing again. It acts like it floods as soon as you squeeze the throttle and dies. But will start right back up and idle as long as I let it. Photos are what I cut with it yesterday After it acted up the first time. Thanks for any ideas on what to address. I posted this on tool talk as well.
