the question you have to ask yourself before buying a diesel of anyones is what is my need for this vehicle ? Unless it is high useage heavy towing, you will be better off financially buying a gas engine version. The higher purchase price and higher fuel cost already make it a losing proposition, not to mention the much higher repair costs . I just can"t justify a diesel anymore for the vast majority of people. Maybe in 20 years they will figure out better ways to clean them up but all the crap on them now just makes owning one a high risk low reward situation to me. If you always have ten grand laying around in case you need a repair then I guess it won"t bother you. I don"t live in that world, and if you scatter a new diesel, even that won"t be enough.
