That green KB series International pickup looks just like the one we had when I was a kid. We had a 49 KB1. It was hotter than haities in the summer and colder than ice in the winter with that tiny little box heater inder the dash. But it always started. When I was sixteen, being a red-blooded american boy, I decided to find out what top end was. Got it up to 60 but the engine was screaming and the front end was so loose I about lost it on the gravel road. After that it was back to the normal 40 MPH top cruising speed. Wish I had it today. Dad traded it for a brand new 69 GMC 3/4 ton with a V6. We were in heaven. Wish I had both of those pickups today. Jim

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
