hi ,i have a 1955 model fordson major diesel with drum brakes.my first question is that the tractor blows alot of blacky grey smoke when driven up hills with no load. the engine has just had a head rebuild during the rebiuld the injector in cylinder no1 had a nozzle tip broken off and got a second hand injector from a wrecker would that be the problem, the injector pump has not been removed but has been adjusted in the past year.how will i fix it so it doesn't blow all the smoke.i would also like to know how to fix the brakes so they actually work enough to skid the tractor for steering.what do i have to do, is it a big job. i have got an I&T manual but it is too hard to follow to do anything to the tractor.please tell me how to fix the problem as quick as you can because the brakes are kind of dangerous.the injector problem could it be fixed by getting the injectors serviced and cleaned or what else can i do to stop the smoke.the smoke problem only started after the head rebiuld pretty much thankyou very much
